ADVENTURE ITINERARY

Day 1: Lake George Village to Narrow Islands

We will begin our kayaking adventure on the Queen of American Lakes from Million Dollar Beach in Lake George Village at 10 am. Under the guidance of experienced LG guides, the group will paddle 11 miles to the Narrow Islands for a relaxing night. Distance:11 miles

(Optional put in: Bolton Landing in the afternoon/evening.)

Day 2: Narrow Islands to Vicars Island

After a yoga session and a splendid breakfast we will paddle north through the heart of Lake George to Black Mountain Point. There you will have the option to hike to the top of the highest peak on LG. After taking in panoramic views of the Adirondack Mountains and beyond, the group will continue paddling north to Vicars Island for some fireside camping gourmet. Distance:8 miles

(Optional put in: Bolton Landing in the morning.)

Day 3: Vicars Island to Ticonderoga

Wake up in the northern basin of Lake George and prepare for a 13 mile scenic paddle to Ticonderoga. The majority of the northeastern shore of LG is forever wild, providing excellent birding opportunities and superb scenery. Distance:13 miles

(Optional Take Outs: Silver Bay, Hague, Rogers Rock)

ADVENTURE DETAILS

Campsites, meals, energy snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided starting with lunch on day 1 and ending with snack on day 3. Each paddler is responsible for bringing and setting up their overnight gear - tent, sleeping bag and pad. A shuttle will be provided from Ticonderoga back to your vehicle as far south as Lake George Village.

BLACK MOUNTAIN HIKE

  • Elevation: 2646'
  • Distance: 8.5 miles
  • Vertical gain: 1100'
  • Hiking: 5 hours
  • Difficulty: Intermediate

NOTES

Each three day adventure is limited to you and your group. Camp gourmet, vegetarian and specific dietary meals are gladly served. Side hiking adventures are optional.

DIRECTIONS

Lake George Village

  • Take exit 21 off of I-87. Continue down the hill on Route 9N north toward Lake George Village. At the light, make a left. Take a right onto Beach Road. The New York State DEC boat launch is a quarter mile on the left hand side.
