Description: Begin your visit at the Visitor Center, where you can pick up a park map & brochure and pay your entrance fee. The Visitor Center also has restrooms, a book and gift shop, 20-minute orientation film, fiber-optic light map, timeline display, and artifact display. Tours of the Battlefield are self-guiding, using information in the park brochure and interpretive stations along the way.

Directions: Saratoga National Historical Park is located 40 miles north of Albany, the state capital, and some 15 miles southeast of Saratoga Springs. All signs for the park are brown with white letters and say 'Saratoga National Historical Park.' From points north (like Glens Falls, Queensbury, or Montreal): Get off the Northway (I-87) at Exit 14 Follow signs for Route 29 East to Schuylerville where the Schuyler House (south end of town) and Saratoga Monument (south part, uphill on Route 338 / Burgoyne Rd.) are located. At the 'T' intersection with U.S. Route 4, turn right. You will be going south. About eight miles south on Route 4 you will find the entrance to the Battlefield, on the right side of the road. From Albany and points south: Get off the Northway (I-87) at Exit 12. Turn right off the exit; you will be on Route 67 eastbound. NOTE: you will be entering a traffic circle. Stay in the right lane to go through the traffic circle, remaining on Rt. 67 eastbound. Before the next traffic circle, move into the left lane. Use this lane in the traffic circle. Go 3/4 of the way through the circle and exit for U.S. Rt. 9 headed north. The turn will be to your left as you approach the second circle, but on your right when you are in the traffic circle. Exit right from the circle to get onto Rt. 9 northbound. After exiting the circle for Rt. 9 northbound, drive about 1.6 miles to the second traffic light. There, turn right onto Rt. 9 P. Drive about 4.5 miles along Rt. 9 P (Saratoga Lake will be to your left), looking for a right turn for Rt. 423. Turn right onto Rt. 423. After about 5.5 miles on Rt. 423, look for a left turn for Rt. 32. Turn left onto Rt. 32. Drive about 2 miles on Rt. 32. The entrance for the Battlefield will be on your right. NOTE: brown and white signs for 'Saratoga National Historical Park' are found at all necessary turns en route. From points east or west: Use Route 29 to Schuylerville. At the 'T' intersection with U.S. Route 4, turn south (right turn if you are driving from the west, left turn if from the east). About 8 miles south, you will see the entrance to the Battlefield on the right side of the road.
